Cheating is not the key to success, some may think so since it is the easy way out. But when it comes time to do something on your own you may not know how since you cheated your way through school and your education. Cheating has always been around since as long as I can remember. It ranges from students coping homework, sharing test and quizes, paying for essays online or even other types of answers. Cheating has been a growing concern over the past years, more than half of the middle school students are starting to cheat. Students do not see the harm in cheating but it could affect you in the long run. If you cheat your way through school then you will never succeed on your own. Most students use cheating as a short cut and a way to get their work done faster. They also use cheating as a form of laziness, instead of working out a problem they will type it in online and just get the answer. When it comes to test or quiz time they cannot just type in the problem and have it pop up for them. That is where students will struggle. Students who may cheat may feel as if they lack the intelligence and then will not pass, so they turn to their friends to "help" them out.
Most students have to goal to do good in school and get the best grades possible and they think that cheating is the key to reaching that goal. Everyone wants good grades and to have a good GPA but that just means you have to work hard and not turn towards cheating. Some options to help you from cheating may be to get a tutor or have a small study group with some friends a few times a week. This could prevent some from wanting to cheat. Maybe by getting your work done on your own you will feel more accomplished and confident.
Cheating is prevalent in the Bishop Connolly community, just like in any other high school, or even middle school. There is no way to stop cheating, everyone knows it is wrong, but there is no cure. It is so easy for students to cheat now a days with all the technology from emails, facebook, text, and the phone. In order to try and eleminate cheating in the schools teachers need to be more strict and should have students do more work in class rather than at home. Cheating will never go away, if anything it will get worse and worse as the years go on. Students need to want to strive and accomplish their work on their own rather tan turning to others to get the job done for them. It is time for students to take responsibillity and grow up.
I agree with your outlook on cheating. I believe i definitely used similar ideas for my post. I believe cheating is definetly prevalent in the connolly community and in other schools. It wont be stopped but to earn the grade you have to do the work and not cheat which some do and some dont. Cheating does have different ranges from homeworks to quizzes and tests but it is bad and doesnt help the cheater in the long run.

I love your strict approach to cheating Cassy. Your statements regarding the mindset of cheaters are true and inspiring. You truly guilt the "cheater" in your blog and I think that is perfect for this assignment. You recognize that cheating has become a major problem and you point out how it is merely an obstacle to one's learning in the long run. I also agree with you thoughts on why kids cheat so much. Everybody thrives for good grades and to have the highest GPA possible and that is the main reason kids cheat. If grades did not matter and the only options were pass or fail, I think that cheating would be reduced greatly, but the way the system is know there is no way it is going down. This leads to your final point in your post, which is that cheating can be fixed. The problem itself has grown to be so big and I agree with you that "there is no way to stop cheating". Keep it up Cassy, this is an inspiring post!
